Pregnancy yoga works to create physical and emotional strength and relaxation, leaving you free to enjoy the amazing journey of your pregnancy and connect with your baby. We always have either a topic, guest speaker or returning birth story at the start and then the second half is movement, breathwork, pelvic floor and relaxation.
The fluid movements build space in the body, elasticity in the pelvic floor and help the body recover after birth. You will learn tools and techniques that bring a sense of calm to you and your baby, which can be used throughout pregnancy, as well as during the birthing process.
Pregnancy yoga is different from regular yoga, as poses are adapted to relieve common ailments, such as backache and swollen limbs. Classes are also a great way to meet other Mums-to-be, and can be a great bonding experience.
